Aaron, I see your point, but it wasn't exactly mine.
when I pressed alt-h in the script dialog, I did not get the script help you mentioned. it seemed to just go check to see about the availability of an update. As you'll note in the script help, automatic updates for the weupdate script are always on and cannot be configured. We feel this script is too important to be able to turn it off. If the update script is out of date, then you risk not being told about Window-Eyes updates, which is what happened prior to version 1.2 of the script. We'd like that not to happen again. Updates to this script are few and far between, not counting the last one. That being said, I am in the process of developing a solution to only notify you of script updates for a given language. In other words, if you only use the English version, you'll only receive notifications when an English update of the script becomes available. You will not be bothered with notifications of updates for other languages. Same goes for those other languages. I think this is a fair compromise.
