Chris,
You'll note that all of the products you mention are created by third
parties, and not by Freedom themselves. You should lobby these third
parties to look at, and develop with, Window-Eyes scripting. Once they
realize there's a market of Window-Eyes users who are willing to pay for
access, they may re-think their market. That's going to happen much
quicker than waiting on us; we simply do not have the resources to
develop solutions for all products. Instead, we create the tools that
let users make the magic happen.

to the event view and you can coble together access of a sort with

I don't take anything away from the hard work that's already been done
with window-eyes.
I just want to raise my voice to represent the frustrated musicians who
might still be we users out there who haven't totally abandoned ship yet
who might be hoping for a showing from window-eyes for something for us
because I think we represent a few sales and the time might come when
I'll have to choose between one screen reader or another, and I don't
want to have to make that choice because there are many things I love
about window-eyes.
I want a basic tool for window-eyes like hotspot clicker where I can
make my own interface overlay for a plug-in that doesn't talk, and share
with other users, and with the superior scripting with window-eyes this
surely is possible.
I too would pay money for sonar development I don't have a 64 bit
version of jaws, but I do own a 64 bit version of window-eyes.
If I could do my next sonar upgrade with some tools in hand to access my
daw of choice with my first love and screen reader of choice, life would
be grand.
Ok, enough ranting, I've said my say, for what it's worth.
I've said it before, and before my sma's run out, I'll probably say it
again a couple more times, but the thing I want to say the most is thank
you gwmicro for giving me tools to do my job and make money.

their own graphic UI and those elements either can't be

With some older VST synths you could gain access by using a VST to DXI
bridge called directixer. This bridge can access the old
style interface of software synths. It gives you a list of parameters
and a track bar to change their values. The new softsynths
however offer such new and cool like effect pads or file browsers
things that the old interface is now useless and mostly not or
only partially supported.
But still you can switch the preset programs of your softsynth.
