Josh,
If you have a multimedia keyboard with keys at the top to change the volume,
etc., the software for the keyboard may be causing the problem. This
software may have an option to use the function keys as hot keys. If so,
you would want to disable this option.

Subject: Any ideas for the loss of my function keys?
Hello friends,
For some strange reason, I have lost the use of my function keys. In
other words, when ever I try to close out of a given program by hitting
the alt f4 combination, WE says the letter f, and nothing happens. So the
only way I can now close out of any program is by hitting the alt key,
and arrowing up to the close dialog, and hitting enter. I thought that it
might have something to do with scripts, so I tried shutting scripts off,
but nothing changed. Any ideas for this odd behavior would be greatly
appreciated, running WE-7.1 and XP-home.
