Andy, I sent the following to Michael directly. In retrospect, should
have sent to the list.

I have been using Outlook 2007 for quite some time and it works fine in
most respects. The major issue with emails is those that are set out
with tables. That makes reading tedious and I often find it better to
view in browser. The shortcut combo is alt-h, x v Enter. You'll get a
dire warning, which seems largely unwarranted. It does make viewing of
those table-based emails much nicer.

For the calendar, simply use the window-Eyes option, insert-c by
default.

My biggest issue is with Contacts. After some fiddling, I view by
category. It isn't perfect in that I have to arrow up and down. That
is, I can't type the initial letter of an entry to get to it quickly. I
did fiddle with a set file some time ago which seemed to be working well
but fell into disrepair when something changed.

In summary, I much prefer Outlook to Outlook Express. If you get on
well with the Ribbon, which I do, facilities are readily available.

Feel free to give me a yell if you can't find something. Like most
Microsoft products, there's lots I don't know, but Outlook 2007 is by no
means malevolent.

The one thing I forgot to mention to Michael is that it is helpful to
turn off the reading pain in the View Menu.

I would like this info as well. Outlook 2003 was a breeze. But with
WE and Outlook 2007, i feel like I am in a continuous wrestling match.
