Come on guys and girls. My lap top crapped out while I was in Los Angeles. By the time I got home, got it diagnosed and purchased a new lap top, it was a week.
Then I come on this list and there are over 600 messages, most of which are not only arguments, but arguments about things that have been argued about for years. How the hell am I going to get through 600 messages? Especially with my other duties, gigs, etc. Some on this List can't control themselves. They have to comment and argue about everything. Imagine how many more posts there would be if the automatic addressing went directly to the List? Too many people on this List would be too lazy to change the addressing when writing personal comments. For gawd sake, can't you people stop all the useless bickering and let the List function for what it was set up for? It is to help one another, not to argue. I know some of you have nothing better to do than to sit and post these ridiculous messages. Have some consideration for those of us who would like the benefit of the list but don't have the time to plow through hundreds and thousands of useless messages. Sure, use the delete key, you say. I do. But even that takes time and often you have to open a message to find out if it has anything important in it. I operate a business, am the leader of a band, I do the bookings for the band. I am on the Board of Directors of a very active Jazz Society. I am on the talent selection committee for a major Jazz festival. I book the monthly guest stars and set up the sets for the main stage of our monthly Jazz Society meetings. I work 3 and 4 nights a week playing piano. On top of all of this, I have chores around the house, repairs to make, upkeep, etc. I am sure there are many other members of this List who are equally as busy. We just don't have the time to wade through all this BS. I beg the folks at GW Micro to put a stop to what is ruining this list. Please warn the offenders. If a warning does no good, then please bar them from the List for a given time until they learn their lesson. I also beg the members of this list to think, yes, think before you post. Post privately to someone rather than post to the List when your message will not benefit the list. I also moderate a mailing list of 600. The list runs very smooth because I don't tolerate the type of arguing and fighting that goes on here.
