Hi. As for your complete list of the system you ordered, I say wow! That does sound like quite a system. I have had my Dell desktop system since December of 2006 which was upgraded from XP media center edition to Vista Home Premium Edition in March of 2007. I haven't had any major problems with this system, however, I have had more Window-eyes errors and probably other unknown Windows errors as well.
Dell may build the system you want, but boy, oh boy, do they ever push their extended warranties and their bloat ware. Aaron has commented about this in his blog entries on the GW Micro blog. I'd give anything to have an Aaron Smith or anyone else come to my place and get rid of the crap that I don't need nor want on this system or my Dell laptop for that matter. All of the begging and pleading with Dell did no good. My fixed income won't allow me to have a bare bones system with the operating system installed and the software of my choosing such as a screen reader, antivirus and antispy ware, etc. Go for the upgrade to Windows seven if you can. I certainly would. Mike M P.S. I sure wish I knew what things I could safely be rid of such as Dell games, Dell printer supplies and Dell documentation and on and on. I did get rid of Macafee and the Dell support Center which I can't seem to use. . __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4295 (20090731) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
