I don't know about Eudora or Thunderbird. Outlook Express can be configured to access AOL email.

Go to

For step by step setup instructions.

Once you get it working, you might want to do the following so that your deleted messages are hidden.

To hide messages marked for deleting from view in a folder in Outlook Express:

Go to the View menu, Current View, and make sure Show Deleted Messages is not checked.

I think you will find that O.E. will give you a better experience with Window Eyes than the AOL client.
