That's not correct. Window-Eyes 7.11 supports Windows 2000. Our testing
has been very positive with Windows 2000, so something else is amiss here.

I would guess you need a newer version of windows and 6.1 is the last
version which Windows 2000 supports.

Subject: Switched back to 6.1
Good morning,
I just wanted to share.
I was having no end to problems with 7.1 and 7.11 on my windows 2000 pro
machine.
I had tried the add remove programs and a fresh install from the 7.1 CD
and
then the 7.11 upgrade down load and had absolutely no success. The machine
was so very sluggish and loss of speech was intolerable.
This morning I used the emergency uninstall program on the 6.1 cd and
completely got rid of WE.
I then re-installed 6.1 and my computer zips right along again.
I have no idea why 7.1 or 7.11 will not cooperate with this machine but it
does not.
Just food for thought. I will continue to listen to the updates from the
list but until something spactacular happens I will revert to 6.1.
