Not true, Window Eyes system requirements are the same as the Windows Operating System. Windows 2000 does not require 2GB of memory. ----- Original Message ----- From: shannon To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, October 14, 2009 1:12 PM Subject: Re: Switched back to 6.1
Funny the documentation doesn't say this. If that is the case then it is no wonder that there so many people with problems. I don't have nearly that much Ram on any one of the computers in this office. ----- Original Message ----- From: Davy Cuppens To: shannon Sent: Wednesday, October 14, 2009 10:45 AM Subject: Re: Switched back to 6.1 Shannon Here a comment from Belgium! How much ram internal memory does you machine have? To be honest, that must be at least 2 GB ram to let WE work quck and properly! I was having no end to problems with 7.1 and 7.11 on my windows 2000 pro machine. I had tried the add remove programs and a fresh install from the 7.1 CD and then the 7.11 upgrade down load and had absolutely no success. The machine was so very sluggish and loss of speech was intolerable. This morning I used the emergency uninstall program on the 6.1 cd and completely got rid of WE. I then re-installed 6.1 and my computer zips right along again. I have no idea why 7.1 or 7.11 will not cooperate with this machine but it does not. Just food for thought. I will continue to listen to the updates from the list but until something spactacular happens I will revert to 6.1.
