I will try that, but shouldn't have to. W-e used to read "read" and 'not
read" earlier today. Wonder why this just quit working?

don't be so quick to switch. this is just w e not reading the graphic to
the left of each message. theres nothing wrong with windows mail.
also make sure the preview pane is unchecked in the view/layout pull down.
then turn on track mouse focus in the mouse pull down then the mouse will
follow the messages.
use the previous mouse clip function or move the mouse a little to the
left until it says graphic. press control shift e to open the graphic
dictionary and give the graphic a description for red un red, attachment
etc . make sure you are saveing the descriptions in the msoe.gra
dictionary.
and save the msoe.gra file when through.

Subject: Red and Unread quit working in Windows Mailindows Mail and
Hi
I've been using windows mail on my vista machine. W-E used to read if a
message was read or not read. Now it doesn't provide this info. Once I
exited and reopened Mail and it worked again, but now w-e no longer reads
red/not read messages. I checked in tools and can find nothing to change.
I have not changed anything in we\-e or mail to create this problem. Any
ways to fix it, or should I just switch to Thunderbird? (I'm really
impressed with the Sunbird calendar, maybe Thunderbird is good and better
thanWindows Mail.)
Also, earlier when I pressed cntrlr-shift-R, w-e would not read the email.
Now that is working again.
Thanks for any help or input.
Brenda
