Hello,

I remember that as well. There is an email in the list on gwmicro.com that
covers that topic. I would search for logon.sys or logon.gif or something
like that.

Regards..

Subject: SWindows XP Startup - a bit off topic - but please help

Sorry, for this - somehow off topic message.

Recently, I had to do some changes to my Internet connection. And that is
when the trouble started. If anyone could point me to a solution, it will be
greatly appriciated.

I am running WinXP Pro, SP3. Usually, my computer started directly in
Windows, that is, you turn it on, give it the necessary time, and the
desktop is up and running. After I did the work on the Internet connection,
now, when starting Windows, I am asked to enter a password. That is, the
Windows LogOn screen shows up. I am the only user of the PC, and so, don't
want this LogOn screen all the time, when starting the system.

I do remember, being into this kind of problem, on another PC, and got it
fixed back then. But I can't, for the bare life, remember what I did, so as
to get rid of that LogOn thing. Anyone in here, who has the trick?

Thanks,
