Pivots can be created and maintained completely without the mouse or sighted
assistance.
1) complete the Pivot assistant with the region marked you want to have in
the pivot, don't forget to mark the column header also
2) placed in the new created sheet make sure you are in cell A3
3) hit F6 to go to the pivot dialog. You are placed in the field list (the
names from the column headers)
4) select a field and tab to choose where to place it on the pivot area
5) tab again to the add button and hit space or enter
6) hit F6 again to return to the pivot area and see what you've got now
7) repeat steps above to make your pivot the way you want it

When you are in the pivot area on the different pivot cells, remember the
context menu to modify field settings.

Subject: Re: Pivot table?

I remember seeing your first note, but I think that most of us have probably
run into problems using the pivot table wizzard. I have attempted it on
several occasions and found that I had to use the mouse keys and the results
were not at all consistent. That is probably why you are not getting
answers on this. As I recall, you can look at the defining parameters of a
pivot table after it has been created, so the best short term solution might
be to have someone set it up visually. There might be a way to create one
manually without using the wizzard and there might also be a scripting
approach. If you could describe what you are wanting to do with the pivot
table, we might be able to suggest alternatives.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson
