Hi there, I recently tried to instal a copy of Window-eyes 7.1 afterupgrading
from 6.1. I am running Windows XP service pack 2. The instalation went fine,
with all the options being spoken in the usual way. However, once it had
finished installing there was no speech whatsoever. The computer believes it’s
running WE cos if I press control alt w it tells me it’s already running. But
there is simply no sound at all. I also recently bought a laptop with windows
7 on and the same thing happens when I try to instal my 7.1 on there. One
interesting thing is that when installing my copy, the edit box which usually
contains my serial number, is read only and I can’t fill it in. Sorry if this
has been covered before, I have searched for a similar problem in the archives
but couldn’t seem to find any. Thanks for any help you can give to this as
it’s v frustrating. At the moment I’ve reinstalled my 6.1, cheers, Phil
