Hi, all. Sit back and relax 'cause this message may be a long one, smile.

I am using a Dell XPS-410 desktop computer which has been upgraded from
Windows XP Media Center to Windows Vista Home Premium Edition to Windows 7
Home Premium Edition. This system is about three years old.

After upgrading to Windows 7 I was experiencing sluggish response and
glitchy audio problems so I had my hard drive reformatted. All seemed much
better until recently.

Within the last week or so I am encountering an error whenever I exit
Window-eyes 7.11 and restart it. I am now hearing in a slower speech
setting than my chosen settings that an unexpected d c m error has occurred,
to reboot my system and try again. I am also notified that if the problem
persists that I should contact GW Micro support.

At Mike Lawler's suggestion I uninstalled Window-eyes 7.11 using the removal
process from within the Windows 7 control panel as well as emergency
removal. The error still persists.

Mike told me that a reformat is probably in order. Not again! How can I
encounter a d c m error under Windows 7 if Mike said that d c m isn't used
anymore? Hmmm, riddle me this Bat Man! Smile.

If a reformat doesn't fix this problem can anyone give me reasonable
suggestions rather than taking a hammer to this computer or throwing it out
a window?

I guess I would consider sending this computer to GW Micro if all else
fails. Where's the packing material when I need it? Grin.

Mike M

P.S. After uninstalling and reinstalling Window-eyes 7.11 I am no longer
hearing the message that Window-eyes cannot set error reporting after I
reboot the computer. .
