Here, here. I find the times when I have worked with the
GWMicro staff quite a pleasure. I haven't enjoyed the same great experience
with all assistive technology companies. Without naming names, there are those
that are more interested in promoting marketing hype than solving customer
service issue. I wish everyone on this list a joyous holiday season whatever
holiday you celebrate.

some people are bored, others have nothing better to do, and stilll others
just like to complain.

GW Micro must consider near-term events before they make a program release.
Software vendors are constantly upgrading their products, and those upgrades
may "break" accessibility. So which products should GW deal with?

Microsoft in January 2010 will release Office 2010; so should GW wait for it?
Skipe just released a new version; should GW support it? What about iTunes?

We all have our favorite bugs, big and small, but GW must address those that
affect most users, not a particular bug unique to a particular program,
computer system, or individual.

Notice that GW is trying to address users needs: Didn't they just hire a
full-time script writer?

So be patient, and be helpful. GW logs valid bugs and shortcomings, and puts
them all on a big list (well, database) so they can be addressed. Concrete
suggestions are always welcomed. So go forth and list your bugs and wishes.
Here is an example of a valid oversight in Window-Eyes 7.11: It falls short of
good support for Office 2007 because "content controls" are not adequately
supported. That means that Cover Pages and other nifty features in Office 2007
can't be used. (Who knows what will be different in Office 2010.) BTW: FS
doesn't support them either.
