That's very telling in its own right, because Window-Eyes installs several scripts upon first launch after installation. Did you remove all of those scripts? If so, you may have removed an integral component that any additional scripts requires (mainly, the GW Toolkit script).

We also need to determine whether or not Window-Eyes is locking up, or if you have something else on your machine that's locking up. We experience losses of sound under Windows 7, without Window-Eyes even installed, on various machines. So is this a possibility? Are you able to have someone sighted tell you whether or not Window-Eyes is catatonic or not when this problem occurs?
