Hi: I am running into a similar problem on my new Toshiba laptop with Windows 7 and Window-eyes 7.11. The way I see it, there are two possible solutions. You can either right a script to set the speech parameters to what you want, or you can create a text file with the speech parameters that you want and use the "text to set" utility to apply them. for example, I wanted to increase the speech rate, so I composed a text file as follows:
screen_rate = 50 key_rate = 50 mouse_rate = 50 Then i saved the file under the name "rate.txt" in the "Wineyes\users\default" folder. Next I opened the "Text to set" utility and in the first field I typed the name of the file I had just created "rate.txt". In the second field I typed "*.0*" to indicate that I wanted the changes to take effect for all my set files. It may take a few seconds to compile all the set files but there is a message box which tells you when they are all finished. The trick is, however, that Window-eyes doesn't read this automatically so you will need to keep monitoring it. It is a complicated solution to the problem, but itworks. I hope this helps.
