Hi there, all.
I had some questions about the Command-prompt in the Windows Seven
operating system.
While the Command prompt seems normal, you cannot backspace text.
Instead, a dinging sound occurs. Note: the next issue is something is
presnet even in other screen-access software programs.
When you begin typing text, (note that this did not occur on Windows
XP and other), systems, the following appears to happen.
1. If you type something like netstat, and begin typing the word net,
Window-Eyes and other Screen-reading programs will say:
Net (what you justentered into the keyboard)
So: it may do:
"n . e . t"
Then, "C:\Windows\System32>Net"
After adding on the word stat, after the "T" is echoed by the Speech
system, you then hear instantly read out: C:\Windows\System32>netstat
You didn't use to hear all that read out.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Anothr issue I'm having with WIndow-EYes is that the DECTalk Access32
(Window-Eyes) synhtesizer, seems a bit slow when typing really fast.
It appears to lag. Rght now, as I compose this message, I am
interuptting speech without relly trying to do so. I am not typing as
fast asI could do usually, and even this typing speed iscausing speech
to be interuptted much quicker than usual. Is this a common issue
between both Windows Seven Sixty four bit, and Windows Seven thirty
two bit? Let me know.
Note, that when I type with Eloquence the version locked with
Window-Eyes Aaron and others, that it responds just as rappidly as it
has in the passed. No obvious lags in the speech synthesizer.

None at least, that I can see. DecTalk on the other hand, I am not sure.
Does the fact that I'm running Windows Seven Sixty four-bit make a
huge difference? Or is this more an issue with the underlying audio
subsystem in the newer kernel.
Thanks, Doug, Aaron, and the rest of you folks on the list.
Your help is much valued.
I am presently using a Demonstration coppy of Window-Eyes seven,
untill I receive the payment plan version.
Sincerely, --Keith
