well considering read to end has always worked this way I still think all this would do if you changed it at this point is confuse people who are used to the way it works.
of course never minded pressing escape twice.

hi escape is the read all stop command. control is a secondary command for this function. so the question is why should this change? this has been this way from the vocal-eyes days and quite frankly would be quite confusing to us old users who are used to it being this way. what advantage would this give?

I appreciate that at sometime in thefuture we will have a new browse mode. Mysuggestion iconcernes the read entire page option. What I would like to see is what happens with other screenreaders like NVDA, if you are reading an e-mail, when you press escape, it takes you out of the mesage and back into the message list. This does not happen with Window-eyes at present. You have to press escape twice to get out of the message. I hope this will be sorted in a future upgrade.
