Your suggestion is not without merit. Currently the Escape key is used to stop the read-to-end function without doing anything else. This is handy for when the phone rings or one of the children asks for a glass of kool-aid.
Since I don't think it is possible to change this key in the hot keys dialogue of Window-Eyes may be an option is to have a pause read-to-end key so that people can select something other then the default, such as one of the shift keys or something like that. Then for those of us with all that muscle memory don't have to change since we all naturally resist it any way... Mysuggestion iconcernes the read entire page option. What I would like to see is what happens with other screenreaders like NVDA, if you are reading an e-mail, when you press escape, it takes you out of the mesage and back into the message list. This does not happen with Window-eyes at present. You have to press escape twice to get out of the message. I hope this will be sorted in a future upgrade. __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4805 (20100125) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
