Hi, perhaps he forgot to tell you about his hot date tonight. Try this. Open the Win-Eyes control panel ctrl-back slash, alt, f, y for synthesizer. It should bring up the presently selected synthesizer.
>From here, pressing the first letter of the name of the synthesizer will take you there. Tabbing once brings up the choice of sound card to be used. Tabbing once again will bring you to the list of installed engines for the eloquence synthesizer, that is, if your presently choice of synthesizer is Eloquence. Hit down arrow once and up arrow once to make sure I was in the list and each time heard no selected items. Wonder where they all went? Having noodled with all the synthesizers and engines that would work at all on my pc, I've found the default dec talk32 window eyes works best for me in high speed typing tasks. I like those engines from text aloud, mike and crystal, and use them for pleasure reading. And, I thought they were eloquence voices. And I thought I had lots of additional eloquence installed engines. Well, as most of you are already chuckling about and knowing the text aloud voice mike and crystal are sapi. And, as it turns out, I have no installed engines for use with the new eloquence patch. I wonder, did I ever have any eloquence voices? I thought I did, but can't seem to find any. and am I missing something that reveals the rca id10t that could be applied here?.
