Doug, Steve,
That was it thank you!!
I did follow the article directions and poof they came back
!
I am now going to play and see if the Eloquence is still pausing while in a
read to end in IE and if so I will call Doug and let him hear it. Maybe since I
turned them off and then back on the patch will have worked it's magic on the
pausing problem.
Thanks again for the pointers.

Shannon

  Shannon,

The SAPI and ECI versions of Eloquence do not co-exist. It is because you
have the older SAPI version that you are not seeing your ECI engines. See our
knowledge base article on this when we released WE 7.0 with the ECI version.

    Marvin,
I had installed the patch and didn't notice any real change but then I
changed back to the SAPI eloquence and stopped my pausing problems.
Doug had written to me asking if I could call him and demonstrate the
pausing problem during a read to end. He said that the patch was to have
addressed that particular problem. I was going to switch back to the Eloquence
voice and call him this morning but my Eloquence voices are gone.
I am not running the script you are talking about and in fact turned off
any that I did have running and they didn't come back.
Do you have any other ideas as to where they might have gone?
I had them last week and now I don't. Shrug
Maybe if I get them back the pause problem will have also gone away too.

    Can't imagine where they went?
    Thanks for any thoughts

Good morning. I remember messages about the Eloquence voices not being
found after patch installation. I ran into this earlier this morning on my old
XP box. The voice rotor script was installed on this machine with Eloquence
Reed in the list. Voice rotor didn't find the voice. I checked the synth list
in WE and there were no voices listed under Eloquence. I stopped the voice
rotor script and like magic the list of Eloquence voices returned to WE's
synthesizer list. I restarted the script and again the problem occurred. I
tried to remove Reed from its list and put it bak in. It's a no go on this
box. The Voice rotor script is the newest version. I may try to remove it and
reinstall it from scratch but it seems that this script just does not like
something with this particular machine. In summary, you have the Eloquence
voices when you install the patch. If you don't see them stop or remove Voice
rotor and you'll see them. Good luck.
