Some mousepad and mouse pointer drivers for laptops, have an option to
disable them if they find another mouse driver in use. My Dell has such an
option, and it's normally great, because since window eyes controls the
movement of the mouse pointer, it seems to register as a mouse driver, so
the mousepad is disabled when running window eyes and having this option
checked.

As you say though, if you want a sighted user to use the pc while window
eyes is running, you'll need to find this option, and disable it, so it
doesn't work like that. or, if you can't find it, you can plug in an
external mouse, and have the sighted user use it, since it's only the
built-in mouse device which gets disabled.

Subject: Lenovo Laptop Question

Hey all. I have a question about the Lenovo series laptops. I'm using a
Lenovo laptop with Windows XP Professional. A sighted user tried to use my
computer today and they couldn't because the mouse pointer wasn't moving for
some reason. And I don't know what I did to shut off the internal mouse or
how to turn it back on. Any help would appreciated, though I doubt that
people use the mouse on this list. You all probably use the mouse hotkeys
that Window-Eyes supplies.
