Hello: An excellent resource for tweaking vista and understanding your computer system in general is the TweakGuides tweaking companion available from tweakguides.com.
There is a free version which will tell you everything you neeed to know about understanding Vista and tweaking it so it performs to your needs and wants.. I highly recommend an 8 gig high-speed USB stick configured for Ready-Boost. Excellent tweakers include: Ultimate windows tweaker Vista tweaker Winbubbles Anvir Taskkmanager free Vista visual master. All of these tweakers include much common functionality but, between them all you have a comprehensive tweaking package. Regards David From: Donald E. My wife and kids got a new PC for Christmas though and they have always counted on me for support and answers to their PC related questions. As those of you who have taken the plunge, and I admire your gumption, you know how different Vista is from XP. Seems like nothing I tell them to look for is there. So it's time for me to, as my son, a 15 year veteran of the U.S. Army likes to say, "suck it up and drive on". I am copying my Window Eyes folder to a flash drive and will check the GW web site for the proper Video driver to download and then jump right in. I am sure that by the time I give up and come back across the room to my trusty old XP machine I will have specific questions, but in the meantime, if you have any heads up insights for me, I would be glad to have them.
