I am not sure how to find this Edward -----Original Message----- From: Don H [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, March 07, 2010 5:31 PM To: 'Edward' Subject: RE: Looking for Vista Tips and Tricks with Window Eyes 7.11
On my system when this happens I get a event logged in the event viewer with a event id of 245 with a description of desktop heap allocation failure. Do you get this logged? -----Original Message----- From: Edward [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, March 08, 2010 4:24 PM To: [email protected] Subject: FW: Looking for Vista Tips and Tricks with Window Eyes 7.11 When I load windows 7, half the time windows goes into scandisk mode, and it cannot fix the problem. This only started happening when I installed wineyes. When I restart windows loads again but wineyes says it encountered an error, and if I want to send it to gw micro. Also half the time window eyes wont load at startup. I have emailed the list a few weeks ago with the error that comes up. When it happens again I will email the error to you if you wish. Mine happens at boot up and starting WE under Windows 7. -----Original Message----- From: Edward [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, March 08, 2010 3:01 PM To: [email protected] Subject: FW: Looking for Vista Tips and Tricks with Window Eyes 7.11 Hello all, I have the same problem with windows7 I have sent gw a few error reports so hopefully they will get to the bottom of it. Edward -----Original Message----- From: david pearson [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, March 07, 2010 3:35 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Looking for Vista Tips and Tricks with Window Eyes 7.11 When I start it up, it will have a memory error or it will say it was improperly shut down and it will come up with a system repair screen. When system repair runs nothing is wrong to be fixed. So I gave the computer to a tech to look at it. When window eyes is turned off nothing happens no matter what he does to it. As soon as he turns on window eyes, the errors come up and the system repair screen comes up or there is just a blue screen. He called GW Micro and they told him it might need a update to the video card. This is a new Dell computer and he found a new update to the video card and that made it worse. So as a result he figures it is a waste of time to talk to GW Micro support, because that's all they came up with. -----Original Message----- From: Don H [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, March 07, 2010 7:58 AM To: 'david pearson' Subject: RE: Looking for Vista Tips and Tricks with Window Eyes 7.11 Please describe your exact problem. In my case Windows 7 crashes WE 7.11 and GW hasn't been able to provide me with any solution. I have gone back to Vista. -----Original Message----- From: Raul A. My first tip would be to skip Vista altogether and get Windows 7. I personally feel that Windows 7 will give you the stability of XP and the look and feel of Vista. I think the look and feel of Vista was its only redeeming quality. The way the start menu is now an edit box to allow you to quickly get to things is very nice. As for the defaults with Window-Eyes, you don't really need to change any as the default will work perfectly. Hope this helps. On 3/6/2010 1:12 PM, Donald E.
