richard,

we too have such an archiving scheme; but ours is done by a piece of
software called Enterprise Vault, and it just automatically brings up the
archived message, and you may see a short status message while this is
happening, there's nothing a user need do.

However, when deleting a message, which we are allowed to do, the same type
of inaccessible buttons also appear for me; asking if you want to delete it
from the archive or just your folder. I usually do manage to find them with
the mouse cursor, although in one dialog there were only graphics, and I had
to get sighted help to label the graphic buttons.

Anyway, that was going to be my suggestion: are these graphic buttons which
could be labeled? if not, maybe the new hotspot macro can help?

hth,

Chip

Subject: Implementation of Message Archiving Using Microsoft Exchange Server
2007

Our larger organization has adopted an e-mail archiving scheme which, I
believe, is part of a new installation of Exchange Server 2007. If an e-mail
message has been archived--and it may well be archived in three days--a
screen message appears when one attempts to access that message indicating
the need to click on a button on the screen to retrieve the message. Finding
both the message and button requires using the WE mouse keys. It is even
more difficult to retrieve an archived attachment. It is not possible to use
the context key to identify attachments and open or download them.

Has anyone found any simple workarounds at the user level? Or, are there
configurations at the server level that the IT department could implement
that would make things more efficient?

As it is, the approach is clunky and time consuming. I'd rather not spend
what could have been productive time fiddling with e-mail.

Hi,
I'm running a duel core 2.40 GHZ processor...so it's mostly unacceptable for
my system to slow way down like that. Anyway Skype 4.1 works fine, that's
what I was using before so luckily I got hold of the setup file and am
happily using it again.

hi, I can't reproduce this. how-ever this sounds more like a Skype issue on
your computer and not a window-eyes issue. might want to contact Skype.
