I David,it doesn't sound like your problem is window-eyes related to tell the truth had a program and sorry I can't remember right now witch one it was that had menus that would not track. I want to say this happened with dragon naturally speaking at times. so to see if it was a window-eyes problem I tried it with another screen reader. guess what same issue. the menus were not getting focus and were not changing as I used the arrow keys. so I am thinking that some programs just have this issue at times. it was naturally speaking and it doesn't happen all the time but this is an issue with this program. some versions of Skype recently had this issue as well.

I can but second these points. Another drawback, at least on my system, of using the WIN-B is that for every press on the arrow-keys, I hear the word 'SysTray' spoken. It goes on saying things like:SysTray, Avast! SysTray, Windows Live Messenger. SysTray, Notepad.and so forth. This introductory 'SysTray' phrase does not speak when using the arrow-keys in the INS-S menu. Don't know, if there is a setting to avoid that one in the WIN-B.Guess there is a reason, why GW leaves both ways of accessing the taskbar open. Otherwise, go ahead and remove the one of them, but I really think it should have worked here. Kind of puzzled, that it doesn't work properly, specially so, since I recently did a fresh install of WE 7.02, and ran the full range of updates. That being said, have you tried the real way of reaching the system tray? Windows-B is the hot key and it works no matter which window you are in. When you get there, arrow to your desired icon and press space or applications key, depending on the properties of the icon and you will have access to the menus. Many thanks. It simply doesn't make sense, that your access tothe submenus of the stuff in the SysTray, will be depending on which window you are in, when opening the SysTray. Really hope that GW can have a fix for this, before the 7.2 will be released.
