Hi List,

I just got a Plantronics wireless headset so I can sit in a more comfortable location while working on the computer but am having some issues.

Since I am on the computer a lot I am concerned about losing track of the battery life of the headset and losing speech. I have two profiles set up, one using the sound card and another using the headset. I installed the script for profile switching via control+alt+the number corresponding to that particular profile and am having problems. To start off, I didn't realize that the script used this combination and had control+alt+1 applied to start up DVD Audio Extractor. In order to straighten things out, I had to uninstall the script, reassign the application to another key combination and then reinstall. But now, control+alt+2 switches me to the headset profile, but then no other key combination works. I am stuck in headset mode until manually going into the menus to switch the old fashioned way, and on top of that the script vanishes from my list of scripts. I had to reinstall it in order to uninstall it.

Is there a way to fix this, or another script that will allow me to switch profiles with a single key combination. Frankly, if there were a way to do it, I would like to have Window Eyes and all of the Windows sounds come out of both the speakers and the headset at the same time so I don't have to mess with switching anything, but since I can't get that to work I will settle for getting Window Eyes only from the headset as long as I can figure out a way to switch back and forth without having to go into a bunch of menus.

Thanks,

Chris
