Go to the sys tray, find the Show Hidden Icons item and click it then
click the Customize link. There you will see the options for every icon
hidden or not that is on the tray. Each icon will have a drop down box
with the choices.
I dont like some of the Windows 7 features but I like this one, its
very tidy.

Well Robert,
He couldn't understand why it was not in his sys-tray.
I tried to give him the explanation that I received.
I asked specefically if there was a way to put that icon in the sys-tray
by itself and the Tech from Humanware support said there was no way
around it.
If you know of a way to do it, let me know. I'd be glad to know it.
However, if you look under the task bar under customization, it doesn't
even mention the safe to remove hardware option.
I'd just love to have Esset and Safe to remove software and Window-Eyes
showing and the rest hidden.
If you know how this can be done, I'm all ears.
Be sure to reply on list so others can get the benefit of what you have
to say. K<smile>
The tech told me except to check that check box and also to the other way
would be to use Humanware companion.
The only other way he mentioned was a huge command that you would have to
type from the run dialog box.
His name is Sam, he's with Tech support from Humanware.
This is a Window-Eyes list, so I will not comment on this thread any
longer.
I was just trying to pass along the info given to me.

If I read it right he did not know where to find hidden icons.
Clicking the Show Hidden Icons will bring them up. Clicking the
Customize link will bring up options among which one can unhide specific
or all icons.
One of the nicer features in Windows 7 is this very ability to
control what is shown in the sys tray. Who needs to see all of them
especially when most are seldom needed?
And I actually use the Safely Remove Hardware item quite often. Its
a wise idea to do so. I think I know a little more than you give me
credit for. ;) I think you misunderstood my original reply.

Robert:
I gave that set of instructions to Les, because he asked about that
particular option.
He may have a Victor Stream and Humanware who makes the product tells
their users to use that option of safe to remove hardware before
removing the stream or a sd card from a card reader or the card reader
itself.
I asked a Tech from Humanware if there was any way around the
instructions I gave and he said no.
I think the tech knows a little more about this than you do.
When I installed Windows 7, like Les, I wondered where the icons went
from the systray, because I use that option as well for my card reader
when removing a card from it.
I have sighted friends who build computers and they use that option when
they remove a card from a card reader.
I hope you have a good day today.
God bless,
Pastor Gil
