And you can use ctrl-shift-E to give that graphic a temporary name, such as
"graphic 1" until you find out what it is really doing.  All other similar
graphics on the screen will inherit the same number.  Before starting all
this labeling and temporary naming, I associate a SET file with the current
program, then associate a graphics dictionary with that program as well.  It
can still be a frustrating process if tooltips are not available so that
automatic labeling cannot take place.  I have also found some programs where
different graphics will get tooltips displayed only if they are enabled in
that part of the program.
