We have discussed this problem on the British Computer Association of the Blind list, and unfortunately the answer is to give up on this version of Google altogether. It used to be the UK accessible version. Now the best thing to do if you want UK searches is to enter
www.google.co.uk The nice thing about Google UK as above is that search results can quickly be jumped to by using H for heading. No need to re-install IE8. The version you mention is simply now an advert for IE8. I hope this clarifies. It is: www.google.com/ie Now, since IE 8 came out, that page is unusable for searches. Every time I go to it, it wants me to install IE 8. I already have IE 8 installed. Tried following instructions and installing it again. But it still wants me to install it again. Is there a new simple, easy to use Google page that the blind can use? --Bob Ringwald Amateur (ham) Radio call sign K6YBV www.ringwald.com Fulton Street Jazz Band 916/806-9551 "Critics can't even make music by rubbing their back legs together." --Mel Brooks If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
