Don,

I too have all sorts of problems with outlook 2003 and html email. a lot of
times it won't read the email at all, and others are just like yours, it
won't read my response; or will miss a lot of it.

So, I usually convert any html email to standard text; either to read it,
and almost always when I'm replying.

You can either setup outlook 2003 to always convert all email to text; or,
if you have some reason to need to leave some of it in html format, you can
use control-shift-o when reading an html email to convert it to text, and
then if you reply, your reply will be in text as well.

if you forget to do that before replying, you can change the format of your
reply by pressing alt-o for the format menu, and then "t" for the text
formatting choice.

hth,

Chip

Subject: Outlook 72003 and html messages

I have Outlook 2003 on my Windows 7 64 bit machine and WE 7.2.
I don't have MS Word set to be the editor in outlook.
I am unable to reply to a html message. I hit control r for a reply and get
no speech while typing. What setting for outlook do I have wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help.
