I have done a 32 bit install in place from another version of windows
using narrator.
With the 64 bit, I used an xml unattended script on a thumb drive and
a cd of the w7 64 bit installation files

For one, you will have to do a clean install. As far as I know there
is no upgrade path from Vista Home Premium to 7 Ultimate, since they
are two different editions, rather than two comparable ones. For
two, yes you can use Narrator to finish setting up Windows, so long
as it saw your sound card. If not, you will need either sighted help
or a USB sound card.

Hi all.
I am having problems searching for previous discussion on this topic, so
any help and advice on or off list would be very helpful.
The plan is to upgrade from Vista Home Premium to Windows7 Ultimate for two
machines.
I have heard that there has been progress made towards a more accessible
installation of the new operating system, with or without Window-eyes
running - that is - maybe Narrator works. Is this true and are there ther
details aobut whioch I need to be aware, especially if I try to do the
install myself.
Thanks in advance.
