Hello, unfortunately the problem has to do with the IE and MSAA installation on the machine. Because of this, it affects the edit boxes in Firefox. Sounds strange, but I've seen this happen on a netbook using XP home, and a desktop using Windows 7. In the case of the XP Home machine, reinstalling IE8 fixed the Firefox edit box problems. In the case of Windows 7, reinstalling Windows is what it took to fixing it.
