Hello, I especially like Steve's thorough explanation regarding the Wells
Fargo website. I use it with Window-Eyes and have had no problem. Steve
has captured the pros and cons well but just know that it's a good place to
do online banking.

I too have found the Wells Fargo site quite usable. I use place markers to
locate the items labeled "Accounts," "Transfers," "Bill Pay," etc.

On the accounts and bill pay screens, simply searching for the table and
then turning on the table feature lets you navigate through the items you
need to access.

I've set up almost of all my bills to be paid through the site and I can pay
bills in about a tenth of the time it takes me to write out and mail
checks. I too use the site for transfers and checking my account balances.
And, yes, it is aggravating they only refer to one screen reader on the
site.

I use the Wells Fargo site with Window-Eyes all the time and don't have any
particular problems. Specifically, I use it to do a lot of transferring
between
accounts and also to look at past transactions. The one gripe I have is
that the Wells Fargo people think that JAWS is a synonym for screen reader.
They
have some links that talk about accessibility, and I have occasionally
gotten warnings that accessibility could be improved if I did this or that
but I have
never seen a reason to. Some of the statements are in PDF, but they seem
generally to be PDF's that work well.

One area where I've had a little trouble is that the sign in procedure
requires that one does not have redirects blocked. Some have said that the
key that
bypasses redirects , I think it is CONTROL ENTER or ALT Enter, gets past
this but it has not always worked for me. I found I had to turn on "Allow
Autorefresh" which is
an internet explorer option and then I didn't have to do anything special.

Good luck.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson
