I'm totally blind and due to available screen reader technology I've made a
very good living as a computer programmer for some 20 odd years now. This being
done Without govn assistance and even despite microsoft's continued opposition
to accessible software design.

Its been thru the creative talent demonstrated by GW Micro thru their product
that I've enjoyed this success.

I know my story isn't far different from many other blind individuals who has
made a living thru computer technology.

The idea that GW Micro should provide their product for free is down right
stupid.

Who among you that are actually employed and/or enjoy the privledge of working
for yourself would perform the work that you do for free. How do you expect the
employees of GW Micro to provide for their families?

And if our embarrassing excuse of a socialistic president attempts to overhaul
the assistive technology industry we will all end up unemployed and completely
removed from society.

Competition has fueled innovation and advancement in every industry and its no
different in the assistive technology industry.

Over the years I've purchased and used all the major screen readers available
and will continue to do so. WE is one important tool in my belt but not the
only one. Its my opinion that there will never be a one size fits all
accessibility solution.

I for one hope GW Micro continues to develop and advance their product for many
years to come.

John
