McTwit uses Twitter's basic authorization scheme to log you in and
retrieve your tweets. Twitter disabled this method of login for various
reasons on August 31. Any program that relies on basic auth no longer
works and must be updated. McTwit appears to have been abandoned and
will likely not see an upgrade.

Hello I was wondering if anyone has experienced anything with mctwit.
My problem is with mctwit when it starts up it says no JSON object can
be decoded. I even uninstalled it and reinstalled it at least three
times am still getting the same results. It was working great before
all of this stuff happened. For now am using qwitter, but mctwit is a
lot easier on the hands as far as using the arrow keys. I would like
some help if anyone knows any work around this problem. Thanks so much.
