Don, do you have a 64-bit version of windows 7? if you do, I'm guessing you have some issue where the programs which can see it are 64 bit as well, and so they're ok in talking to a 64 bit driver, but the ms office programs may be 32 bit, and you can use a 64 bit driver from a 32 bit program (at least, that's how I understand it). if you could get a twain interface driver for the scanner, it may work, since it's not a direct low-level driver. you may have to contact the scanner's manufacturer to see about a windows 7 twain driver. this is one of the problems with upgrading to windows 7, 64 bit especially. you may end up having to get a new scanner with a twain driver to solve this. This has worked well for years until I upgraded to Windows 7. Now MS Office DI does not see the scanner. Windows 7 Fax and Scan sees the scanner. Does anyone know how to configure so Office will recognize the scanner? Thanks, don If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
