It depends on what your recording source is.
If it's set to your stereo out, or wave out, then your only real
recourse is to get another sound card to pipe we through or use an
external dedicated speech synth.
If your recording from a mic or line in device, you could probably
isolate that input source and not pick up what's being fed to the
stereo output.
Lots depends on your sound device.
I think the best approach from
a technical standpoint is to isolate your speech from your recording
card completely, then you don't have to worry about things like
sample rates changing on you, or problems with sharing a device.
