The question we might ask gwmicro is that does we
have to write to temporary files on that thumb-drive very often?
YOur typical cheap thumb drive is mlc multi-layer,
so that means it can be read quickly but writes
slowly, you got to pay big bucks to get fast
writes to solid state drives at today's
technology leveol, though it's slowly geting better.
So will that make enough of a different to
matter, if we mostly has to read, then
thumb-drives are pretty snappy to retrieve data from.

I dont know what others might say, but If you
are going to be using the same computer at work,
I would like to strongly recommend that you have
the company install Window-Eyes on that computer and not on a thumb drive.
While installing on a thumb drive will certainly
workafter video support is installed and the
computer is re-bootedbut it will not
Respond as fast as if Window-Eyes was installed on your hard drive.
I believe this is especially true when scripts and set files are being loaded.
I know that this isnt what you asked, but it might be worth considering.

Subject: WE on the go
Hi all,
I know this subject has been covered before but,
can someone point me to the kb article on GW's
site explaining how to put WE on a thumb
drive? After taking their classes, I will be
seeking employment with H&R Block and I need to
be able to alay any concerns they may have about
Window-Eyes running on one of their company computers.
Thanks much,
Johnny
