Whenever you have issues like this, the first thing you should check is if you're running the latest version of Miranda. Problems like this crop up from time to time, and the Miranda development team is quick to issue fixes. The latest build as of the time of this writing is 0.9.4. www.miranda-im.org/download.

Jeff,

Have you verified that AIM works on that machine with its own software? I
wonder if there is something either with the
firewall on that computer or with the firewall in your router? Especially the
firewall in your router could block a
connection and you may not be getting an indication of that. I have also heard
that something has changed within AIM
during the past week or so but have not checked that out myself.

Hey guys,
I wanted to bring everyone up to date on my miranda and aim issue. I worked
with someone for 2 hours last night on this, and we can not figure out after
switching versions, 2 different machines why it will not work on aim at
home. Yet it will work on all the other protocalls.
This still doesn't make sense. If i connect my laptop to my router and my
desktop, no go on aim, forget it. Yet if i use my verizon wireless card
with either or both machines it connects on aim. Any ideas guys?
I literally feel like this is something magical, cause it just stopped
working. Can anyone suggest anything?
After switching versions and everything, no luck.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Jed
