pardon me, but you are misstaken. I and others don't blindly download any program. I had no choice but to use the 2011 version because there isn't any other available. It is regretable that you didn't give me any assistance in resolving the problem instead you chose to give me a cautionary bit of advice that I know all to well. Let me repeat since aparently you missed my previous posts. you cannot get earlier versions of windows live mail. Is that clear enough. It is bad enough that one spends hours trying to make something work when the screenreader makers can't update their products in a timely manner at least for the products that are commonly used without getting comments that don't advance the situation one bit. If it were a beta I could understand and I know how to uninstall and reinstall a program. i don't mind it not working and going back to previous versions. in fact, I am choosing to use ie 9 with its difficulties and it is in beta so I can understnad the screenreaders not supporting it yet. However, when you can't get anything older than 2011 except when some kind person uploads it to you, it is absurd. It is also absurd that one can't get it off the system ottally without aparently reformating the drive. if it were up to me, I would have been happy to use pine and lynx in dos. Pine is much faster at reading email than anything we have had since and the same for lynx as a browser. However, things have moved on from there so we don't have much of a choice. Thanks i look forward to the next post you make of non helpful advice.

There have been many who have stated this for many years, in a nut shell for years. Craig R. From: mop Sent: Wednesday, October 13, 2010 2:31 PM To: GW INFO Subject: windows live mail An update on my efforts to use a previous version of windows live mail that windoweyes will work with. I have installed and uninstalled the 2011 version at least 3 times. i have to use revo uninstaller to do so because windows live mail doesn't show in add remove. Once I have removed all of the programs and keys which takes a considerable amount of time, I have used ccleaner to remove the registry keys that are left. This is all for not because windows still refuses to install a previous version. It seems I am out of luck and anyone else will be if they download the current verson from microsoft and put it on their pc.
