Gary,

Did you have to use the Windows Access Bridge to get this working with JFW 11?
I know that IBM has been doing some work to not require the use of the
access bridge but believe they are using other technology that may not be
completely implemented yet. This seems consistent with Aaron's response.

I had no trouble installing Window-Eyes on a netbook by copying my entire CD to
a USB drive and then copying the content into a folder on the Netbook's
hard drive and installing from there. My NetBook has a fairly large hard drive
so this seemed the best approach for me. However, it probably would have
installed from the USB drive. Anyway, please share what you find.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson

Symphony is based on the first version of Open Office, and the beta versions
that are being tested now are based on version 3.0. I understand they still
have accessibility problems with the betas. As I mentioned in my previous
message, the word processor and spreadsheet in version 1.3 work well with JAWS
for Windows 11 and 12. I have loaded both Word 2003 and Excel 2003
files and saved them after modification. I do get warnings each time I load
such files about possible incompatibilities, but I'm not sure what they are.

CD drive before, I suppose a trip to the Knowledge Base is in order.
