It should show up. If it don't, go to control panel, then taskbar and start menu and then customize system trey icons and check the show all box and hit ok. Now all of the system trey icons should show up for you.

In windows 7 I can find no choice to do a safe remove of the thumb drive. So, I just pulled it out, and I am sure this is not a good idea. Any help in finding where the remove safe can be found?
