It is simply my humble opinion that what little information has been released WE 8 is supposed to include a major browse mode overall and for me browse mode is an important part of WE. I would think that GW should give us an update on WE 8 progress but they won't. IE 9 will be out soon and it has already been stated that WE 7 won't support it.

Until web design standards are created and enforced, we will not see any
real meaningful progrress.

Subject: WE and web pages

As web sites update their web sites it would seem that WE is coming
more and more unable to work with them. Links do nothing, buttons
don't work and info on the screen that can be read by sight can't be
read with WE. This holds true for IE 8 and Firefox.
Last year I said all I wanted for Christmas was WE 8. I make that same
wish this year in hopes that WE catches up with changes to web sites.
