Chances are, its nothing to do with the screen reader giving such a problem
but the hardware.
Did you try to tab on the alt or ctrl key a couple of times?
Some sort of key is being press down which interfere with what you wanted to
do.

Or even just the keyboard itself not giving out the right native command to
windows.

Subject: keyboard problems

Hi, Everyone,
More on the saga of the keyboard problem. I decided for ease of use
to buy an external keyboard to connect through USB. Everything works
all right, except for the "mouse" functions controlled by the numpad
part of the keyboard. When I press the numlock key, I can still move
the mouse pointer up and down the screen with the #8, and the #2
keys. However, using other keys with the insert key don't work
properly, and pressing the - key which is supposed to switch between
the Mouse Pointer, and the WE cursor only produces --. And it
doesn't matter if the numlock is on or off. I'm starting to thin
that it may be a problem with the USB ports, but they work for some
things. Anyone have any ideas? If I can fix this without having to
have the computer repaired, that would be a lot better, and
faster. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
