When the below incident occurred, I was using a Dell inspiron laptop with an Intel duel core processor and 1 GB RAM and Windows XP Media Edition. I was using IE 8 and Window Eyes 7.2.
I was attempting to play a fantasy football playoff challenge game on the ESPN web site. I had landed on the page where I was to select my team. Almost immediately the computer began to slow down, and within 30 seconds or so, it ground to a complete halt. No keys would perform any action. I had to shut down and restart using the power button. Several attempts always brought the same result. I then tried to access the same site with Firefox, and, voila! there was no problem at all. Because IE is my default browser, I am curious as to what caused the difficulty with IE and how it can be resolved. Andy If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
