Hi Janet. Have you checked format alert: a Window-eyes feature set from within the Window-eyes control panel - ctrl\ S (screen) and then arrow up to format alert - this equals on or off. If off - pressing enter will turn it on.
Once on - it should speak the information you require. If you like it, the setting can be saved either as a document specific file or as part of the Office 2007 set file.
