Janet,

The MS Word script does do a lot of what you want, but only if you have the
"format alert" feature Vaughan mentioned turned on, or if you force the
script to always speak formatting info regardless.

What it does is to only speak these things as they change, so you don't have
to hear all of them, for each line, as you move through the document.

you probably know this, but if you do want to hear everything for a given
location, just use the insert-E command, which will display a dialog listing
all the formatting for the current point in the document. Neither this
command nor my script will speak formatting which is controlled through the
applications of styles however; WE will speak (or can be set to speak) the
style names as they change though, but you will need to know what the styles
do, and you will need to understand that formatting directly applied to a
paragraph will over-ride whatever is done in a style.

hth,

Chip

Subject: proofing my documents in Word 2007

Hello,

Would someone please tell me how I can verify that text in documents I write
in Word 2007 has been centered, left justified or right justified? These
changes are not announced the same way that bold, underline and italics
changes are. I need to be able to confirm these things before sending out
reports which must follow specific formatting. I am using Xp with all
updates and WE 7.2. I am also running the Word scripts.

Thank you,

Janet
