Well, I wouldn't exactly call that an explanation. I'd call that an
observation. It still doesn't explain at all why! I thought those
add-ons got
appended by the GW mailserver, so why should some messages get them, and

Not without explanation. Its been said that HTML messages do not have
the footer appended. Its not news. That said, there are plenty of
messages
coming to the list that do have the footer.

Well, North Star, you're right. Several of the last few messages have

without the usual appended GW instructions for posting and unsubscribing.
And,
it's been going on without an explanation for several weeks, now. I've
mentioned it, and never got any satisfactory explanation; absolutely
